Two friends, a passion: The Wine.
Our wines are born from the love for our land, and from the precise work we do in our vineyard
Cantina Balares is born from the innate passion of two friends for the wine.
Our vineyards are located in Gallura, in the area of Balajana (Luogosanto), one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in Italy and in the world. It is in the region of Sardinia that the interaction between several factors, such as land, exposure, climate, vines and of course the wine growers, allow the production of a specific and identifiable wine, thanks to the unique characteristics of the territory.
This is how our logo is born: mountains, sun, sea and land, stylized in a bottle.
Philosophy and History
The philosophy of Cantina Balares is that the wine is made in the vineyard, optimizing and managing to the maximum the factors of soil, variety of the vines and climatic exposure.
It is starting from the observance of these factors that we always aim to produce high quality wines. For us, wine must always have two fundamental characteristics: quality and typicality.
The vineyards from which our grapes come, were planted in 2007 and extend for about 6 hectares, they are located at an altitude between 90 and 100 meters above sea level. Exposed to the south, where once the old Gallura houses (stazzi) stood. From the name of one of these houses, in 2016, our Vermentino Jeda was born. Bright golden yellow color with fine, elegant aromas, with hints of citrus and aromatic herbs.
In 2017 Fraìli was born, ruby red with a wide, powerful and safe aroma, in which the aroma of strawberry and the more pronounced hints of walnut and hot rock are captured.
